Letter from the President 2018-2020

Dear Endometriosis Friends, I am writing these lines as the president of The European Endometriosis League (EEL) on behalf of the executive board. The European Endometriosis League is a non-profit society, founded by renowned physicians specialized on endometriosis-adenomyosis and pelvic pain, in 2005. So far EEL is active in several different European countries and is currently extending activities into additional countries. The European Endometriosis League is aiming to extend public awareness and supports scientific research in the field of endometriosis, adenomyosis, chronic pelvic pain and other co-existing gynaecological conditions. Furthermore, the society is conducting scientific meetings, seminars, a master class programme, educational programmes, congresses, research projects and serves as a frame for patient self-support groups. The results of the research projects held by EEL are published in scientific journals and thus brought to the public's attention. EEL is supported and financed through membership fees, donations and an advisory board of the medical industry. From now, EEL will be sending a newsletter to all of its members. I hope it will update and motivate you more into the endo world. Please do not hesitate to send your suggestions and comments about the newsletter to  After the pandemic, hope to meet you in person, just like in the old days. Prof. Engin Oral
