Advanced course on ultrasound examination of endometriosis – 15–16 September 2026 (online)

The EEL is pleased to share information about the Advanced course on ultrasound examination of endometriosis, a two-day web-based course taking place on 15–16 September 2026 via Zoom.

Organised by Skåne University Hospital, Sweden, and led by Senior Professor Lil Valentin, Associate Professor Povilas Sladkevicius and Associate Professor Ligita Jokubkiene, the course gives participants a theoretical basis for using ultrasound to detect endometriosis and adenomyosis, estimate the extent of disease, describe findings using standardised IDEA terminology, diagnose decidualization, and counsel patients on their risk of malignancy.

The programme combines lectures, live scanning and case presentations, covering image optimization, scanning technique, pelvic anatomy and the ultrasound appearance of deep endometriosis at all relevant sites. It concludes with a theoretical test.

Who should attend: specialists in obstetrics and gynecology with at least basic skills in gynecological ultrasound and an interest in endometriosis.
